Care Instructions for Plants

Follow these general guidelines for your green houseplants:

Each plant will come with a care tag, providing information specific to that plant. Generally, these guidelines will help to keep most houseplants in great shape.

Most plants prefer natural light, and many can flourish in the office with fluorescent lighting as well. Foliage plants do well under lower light levels than blooming plants do. Blooming plants should be placed in areas with the most light for the best floral color, and to encourage all the buds to blossom.

It is best to keep your plants evenly moist, neither letting them dry out, nor overwatering. Avoid getting the leaves wet when watering. Do not leave plants in standing water. Remember, plants are thirstier in the winter, when the dry heat is on.

Keep your plants in constant temperature of 65 - 72 degrees Fahrenheit.

Enjoy your houseplants in good health! They have been proven to be powerful, natural air cleaners.

Care Instructions for Flowers

For boxed or wrapped flowers, follow these tips!

If you have received boxed or wrapped flowers, keep them cool until you can place them into water with floral preservative added. Fill a clean vase with warm water and the floral preservative provided, following the directions on the package. The preservative provides sugar to feed the flower, balances the Ph of the water, and contains an anti-bacterial agent. All important to the life of your flowers!

Remove any leaves that will be below the water, and then recut the stems with a sharp knife. Place your flowers in the vase, and then follow the directions below. Enjoy!

For longer lasting floral arrangements, follow these tips!

Water is the most important factor in keeping your flowers fresh. Add warm water to your vase or container daily. Use the flower food provided, following directions on the packet. The flower food provides sugar to feed the flower, balances the Ph of the water and contains an anti-bacterial agent.

If the water becomes cloudy, replace it with fresh warm water and flower food. Recut the stems with a sharp knife, and remove any leaves that may now be under water.

Flowers like a cool spot in your home, 65 - 72 degrees Farhrenheit. Display them where they are away from direct sunlight, drafts, fans, or heating and air conditioning vents. Also avoid the top of televisions, or radiators, as sources of heat will dry out your flowers.
